DENVER (June 20, 2011) – For the 11th consecutive year, Colorado Biz Magazine has named hrQ one of the top 100 woman-owned businesses in Colorado. hrQ, an award-winning executive search and professional services firm focused exclusively on the human resources profession, moved up the list to 38th in 2011 from 71st in 2010.
hrQ was founded in 1998 by company CEO and founder, Molly McCoy. McCoy conceived the idea for hrQ while pursuing her master’s degree and working as a director of human resources at First Data Corporation. As part of a class project, she was asked to complete a five-year vision. Surprising even herself, McCoy realized that her vision did not include the standard advancement path through corporate America, but rather the establishment of a new business.
“By concentrating on the specialized area of human resources, we have been able to consistently grow the business each year by offering a complementary blend of services that include executive search, contract assignment placement and strategic human resources consulting on a project basis to some of the country’s most notable companies.”
Last year hrQ grew its revenues by more than 150 percent. The company has offices in Denver, Dallas, Houston and San Francisco, with plans to expand over the next two years.
